Last Saturday, June 19, Jeff competed in the Dragonfly Triathlon in Sardis, MS. For those of you who don't know where Sardis is, I guess you could say it is somewhere between Oxford and Batesville. The course included a 1/2 mile swim in the lake, an 18 mile bike ride, followed by a 4 mile run. Let me tell you, it was so hot. I think this one should have been called Heatwave instead. Luckily, Caroline and I were able to stay in the shade. Jeff finished 9th in his age group (out of 21) with a total time of 1:59:05. Once again, the top two overall finishers were from his age group.

Here comes Jeff out of the water from the swim in the lake. It was tough running through the sand.

Jeff coming in on the bike. You have to be off the bike as you cross a certain line before going back to the transition area.
