Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Well, we don't get snow too often, so of course we have to document it before it all melts away in a few hours. This was Caroline's first snow. It actually stayed for several days (patches of it, at least). It barely got above freezing for a week!

Look at the snow falling!

Ginger had to check it out. She wasn't sure what to think at first. She has only seen snow a few times in her life.

Ginger has to check everything out. She is very protective of her territory.

Caroline woke up happy from her nap. Let's go out and play in the snow!

Ok, I realize she doesn't have a coat on. She was only out there for maybe a minute to take a few pictures. She does have shoes and a hat on though and her top is fleece. She just didn't know what to think. Does this thing have wheel drive? Don't worry, Mommy does!

Caroline's First Christmas

Oh, what a blessed day! Unfortunately, Caroline was sick with a cold and cough around Christmas. She was so sleepy from the medicine and the drainage that we didn't get to have our Christmas morning that we were anticipating. I guess I just had it in my head that we would be opening presents early in the morning. She actually didn't get to open presents until after lunch. Oh well, when you have a baby, (and especially when you have a sick baby) you just roll with it.

What's with this paper stuff? It's hiding something.

Mmm! This is the best part!

Her first car. She's making sure she knows how to check the oil.

Checking everything out. What is all this stuff?

I hope I have time to play with everything.

Wow! These bows are great!

Caroline & Mommy. This is the best gift ever!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! It's been so much fun!!! Caroline is having a blast playing with one of her favorite new toys.

Taking Christmas Card Pictures

I learned that taking pictures for the Christmas card was a lot harder than I thought. Some of you may have found this to be very easy. I probably took over 100 pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras!!! I think many of us have forgotten what it was like to take a roll of film and see how it came out. Here are a few of the ones I took.

From December

7 months old

She's such a happy girl!

We can't seem to keep her out of Ginger's bed, whether Ginger is in it or not. Caroline is totally fascinated with Ginger. Luckily, Ginger is a very good sport about it. She's not too bothered about having her hair pulled or being chased. She can outrun Caroline and get to safety. Luckily for Ginger, Caroline is only crawling and not walking yet. It won't be long, though.

Is it possible to have too many toys to play with? If you said yes, Caroline might disagree.

Here she goes crawling down the hall. I pulled her dress back so she could crawl better. I love this action shot. She really puts a lot of effort into it.

Our happy little crawler. She's getting faster every day!

Are any of these mine?

Some of these must have my name on them (and most of them did!)

From November

We found this "little white puppy dog" cake and just had to buy it for her. It was basically two cupcakes and a lot of buttercream icing (but what could be better than that?)

She just had to get her hands in it, of course

Her first tailgate at MSU. Go Dawgs!!

"You call this cereal?" This was her first time trying rice cereal. She took it ok, but we switched to oatmeal and she likes it much better.

Outfit courtesy of Monkey Business, thanks Allison, it was so cute on her

Nap time with Daddy. Ginger loves nap time, too.

Aww, so sweet! This is the best sleep ever

Caroline's First 4th of July

We had so much fun on Caroline's first 4th of July. We went to the parade, splashed around in the pool, and went to a cookout.

Sweet Beginnings

Well, here's how it all began. We'll skip the wedding details and fast forward a few years. Caroline was born on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 6:04 p.m. She weighed 6 lb. 7 oz. and was 18 in. long. She is our precious little sweet pea and we brought her home on Mother's Day.
